    ating back to the 16th century which originated in Rajasthan. It is a jewelry craft that involves
    fusing an intricately worked thin sheet of 23K gold atop of colored glass
    The brooch depicts four men, three on top of an elephant, with swords and long knifes
    One men is slaying a lion with his long sword while the animal is held by elephant’s trunk
    One of the lions in the plaque is attacking a goat
    There is another animal on the side which resembles a beaver as well as small flowers and leaves
    The 23K gold design is bright and vibrant
    Green colored glass is set in bezel and adorned with a scalloped border of small spun gold cones
    The glass has a closed back and completed with a pin fitting
    An impressive Thewa brooch and would make a great addition to any collection
    Metal was acid tested and confirmed to be 18K
    Condition:
    Excellent Antique Condition. Surface scratches on glass and gold. Minor denting to the bezel can be noted with close examination.
    The glass appears to be intact without any major cracks
    The pin itself is not gold and may not be an original but a later replacement
